Agnetha Faltskog

Even though she's created a name for herself an artist on her own within Sweden, Agnetha Faltskog will forever be best known for being one of the members of 'ABBA', one of the most commercially successful and internationally adored pop groups of all time. When she left school at age 15 to follow a musical career and performing, she was soon singing in Bernt Enghardt's group and attracted a fan following. Enghardt landed her a recording contract and she soon reached the top of Sweden's charts with her debut single. Bjornulvaeus, whom she later wed was her husband and she joined ABBA. Over the course of eight years, the group would be one of the most successful rock groups around the globe, earning several platinum and gold awards throughout the world. Following ABBA's release, she released three albums including 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me' Eyes of a Woman and 'I Stand Alone'. Each with great success in Sweden and gained acclaim throughout Europe and beyond, but she was never able to make an impact in the U.S. As the '80s wound to a close, she went into an officially-resigned retirement. ABBA appeared on a jukebox show called 'Mamma Mia! '. They came out of retirement to record her first album 'My Coloring Book', which reached eleven on the U.K. chart.
